In my previous post, I talked about the importance of exercising and how they are great for physical and mental health. In this post, I’m going to be highlighting the best exercises for weight loss. Whether you are a beginner who has not started on your exercise journey or you used to exercise but gave up and you are looking to get back on track, these simple exercises will help you stay in shape and benefit your mental health.
The good thing about these routines is that they are simple and even if you don’t have access to a gym, you can still get that work out in every day. Here are some of the best exercises for weight loss

  • Cycling




This can be done anywhere and at any time. In the gym, a stationary bike can be used, and it helps in the building of the muscles in the leg, and also more fat can be burnt easily in the form of sweat. If you do not have access to a gym, no worries, you can ride your bicycle around, and still lose some weight. You can perform this exercise for as long as possible, depending on your own strength and ability.

  • Jogging




This is one of the simplest forms of cardio exercise. It can be performed indoors and outdoors. It helps in the burning of fat, improving stamina and strength. If you cannot jog fast, try doing it slowly to free the muscles around the knee, then the rest is child's play.

  • Swimming




This exercise has to do with the flexing of muscles in every part of the body, and it also involves the rapid beating of the heart. It is advised that you can swim for about 30-40 minutes daily to obtain good full body workout, and lose more belly fat.

  • Running


This is just like jogging but faster. Running is hard work but it is very effective. Whole body exercises that work all of the major muscle groups are the best calorie burners, and running is the ultimate exercise for calorie burning.

  • Boxing


Not only does this sport make you feel like a badass, it also helps strengthen your core. When trying out boxing as a form of exercise, it is important to note that the force should come from your core and not just from your hands for maximum effectiveness. You can enroll in a boxing class to learn the basics.

  • Jump rope


This is a quick way to shed some weight without spending a lot of time. Before beginning to jump rope, you have to pick a proper rope from a sporting goods store. Also, you have to perform warm-up exercises so as to avoid causing injuries and stresses on your muscles.

These are just a few exercises to get you started on your weight loss/ maintenance journey. Remember, it’s only unachievable if you don’t start. Make sure that you schedule your chosen exercise into your daily routine. That way you will be less likely to come up with an excuse. Exercising with a buddy also reduces the chances that you will skip a workout. Choose a buddy that will not let you off of the hook easily. Be great motivators for each other.

  2. thank you. You just need to start and then you can work up your way from there. Remember, there's no such thing as a bad workout. even if its just for 5 minutes, it still counts.
